I followed TCK around today.
The air con man arrived early in the morning and fixed up our System 4 Fujitsu aircon. The compressor is really really huge and is now at the back of the 2nd bedroom.
2 out of the 4 units still in boxes.
Then I arranged for my friend KW to come down and take the measurements for our front sliding doors and kitchen windows.
Then, the carpenter came and asked how we wanted to do the wooden strips platform on the drain.
Then, we went out to Balestier Road to search for the rest of our lights - 2 bedrooms, staircase, track lightings, door bell. And because we wanted to do it fast, we decided to skip lunch and just bought pastries from a tau sar pia shop in Balestier. Ate them while walking and grabbed a ice lemon tea from 7-Eleven when we past by one.
Then, we got sick of countless times of hunting for lights in Balestier (because they all look similar and everyone recommends the same types of lights) we went to Jalan Besar. Saw some lights we liked in the 2nd shop and decided to get them there.
Then, we went down to Chan Huat showroom (another light shop in Balestier) and bought another 2 more lights - the track light and bathroom light. After that, we had to go down to another Chan Huat shop (btw they have 5 shops along that road) for the fan-light that was ready for collection and the 2 lights we've chosen moments ago.
This was the collection point. Chuck was waiting for the guy to pack our lights while I was waiting for him in the car. Anyway, do you see a floating yellow balloon in the distance?
Let's take a closer look.
Woohoo! A new 24-hour food centre is opening soon! There's already no lack of variety of food here along Balestier Road, now they're building a new food centre!
After we dropped off the lights, the deliveryman for the kitchen island lights arrived. Then we bought coffee for Ah Teck our dear plasterer. Then we chatted with Christina.
Then, the bamboo chit person came and took measurements for the front patio.
When we left the house, it's already dark...
Ended the day with hor fun at Wong Poh.
Let's see who's coming in tomorrow.
(1) Supreme Laminate group doing the laminating for bedroom floor and staircase.
(2) Painters continuing.
(3) Lights to be fixed.
(4) Front sliding door coming in, together with the other glass door for Master Bathroom.
(5) Ah Teck still plastering.
(6) Our bamboo plants are coming.
(7) Front Gate & Frosted Panels.
We're beat!
